Southeast Community Facility at 1800 Oakdale in the Bayview need major changes.
In the late 1970s when the Phelps Raw Sewage Plant was expanded - the Bayview Community demanded mitigation. The community were promised Open Space but chose a Community Facility to serve the needs of the community at large in the Bayview. Today, City College has taken over and the Community Facility - shcved aside the community and substituted by corruption. This must change and the youth in the community served first and the rest of the Mickey Mouse operations eliminated....

Harpoon line dumps Greenpeace activist in Antarctic waters
Canadian Greenpeace whaling activist, Texas Joe Constantine, was dragged overboard into the freezing Antarctic waters after the whaling harpoon was fired over his inflatable and the harpoon rope became entangled in the craft. Constantine spent a few minutes in the water in his survival suit, before his compatriots could manouver their craft to pick him up. The harpoon killed the whale almost instantly after a chase lasting an hour....

Sea Shepherd: Prosecute Japan over whaling and we will withdraw
Paul Watson for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has offered to withdraw from the current campaign against the Japanese whaling fleet in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary if either the Australian or New Zealand Government agrees to take Japan to court over the whaling issue. He said that if the Australian and New Zealand Government had serious concerns for human safety in regard to confrontations between conservationists and whalers then they should make a proper legal challenge....

Three arrested on eco-vandalism accusations in California

Three people were arrested Friday on suspicion that they plotted to blow up U.S. Forest Service property along with cell phone towers and power generators, the FBI said.
Zachary O. Jenson, 20, of Monroe, Wash., Lauren Weiner, 20, of Philadelphia, and Eric Taylor McDavid, 28, of Foresthill, Calif., were arrested Friday morning, said Karen Ernst of the FBI....
