Global Warming and San Francisco
San Francisco purports to be a Green City. The actions of the City and County of San Francisco and Mayor Gavin Newsom speak other wise. Over 400 mature trees were clear cut on Parcel A at Hunters Point Shipyard. Over 300 trees at McClaren Park. 3 brand new Combustion Turbines spewing dangerous particulates are proposed to be built at Pier 80. Our watershed is being polluted by leaking sewer pipes. We continue to build more homes and use less Solar but more fossil fuel. All these reasons and m...

SF Planning Department will host a meeting with SF Redevelopment Agency
On March 2, 2006 the SF Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) and the SF Planning Department will meet in joint session to listen to comments on the Certification of the proposed Bayview Hunters Point Redevelopment Projects and Zoning Environmental Impact Report. So far the process has been disgusting with the SFRA holding meetings without the proper documents - case in point lack of transportation studies. The Final EIR fails to address many vital adverse impacts all linked to Quality of Life issues. ...

San Francisco Redevelopment Agency stopped in the tracks
The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) with Marcia Rosen as its evil leader were stopped in their tracks even as they wanted the SFRA Commissioners to agree to a resolution that all was NOT fine with a very faulty Final Environmental Impact Report that has not been discussed by the affected community in the Bayview. Gone are the days when the Western Addition was ruined by Racist SFRA. We will not permit the SFRA to come into our community and take over large tracts of land without mea...

A Response to the “Green Scare”
We must have a movement response to the government-incited "Green Scare." Our response to Operation Back-fire, and the demonizing of environmental and animal defense, must be with our love for, music inspired by, and stories about the natural places and critters we love. I propose organizing a nation-wide tour would be like an old-fashioned radio show, and feature an evening of stories, music, photographs, and poems that define and celebrate the environmental and animal-rights movem...
