Giving with One Hand; Taking with Another: Another Surrealistic View of Life in Palestine
On April 14, 2008 Robert Mosbacher, President of the U.S. government's Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), with other investors, launched an initiative to provide up to $500 million to establish an affordable loan program for home ownership for Palestinians. Mosbacher estimated that approximately 30,000 Palestinian homes would be built within the next 5 to 7 years....

Yahoo and MSN helping to root out Tibetan rioters
Yahoo China pasted a "most wanted" poster across its homepage today in aid of the police's witch-hunt for 24 Tibetans accused of taking part in the recent riots. MSN China made the same move, although it didn't go as far as publishing the list on its homepage....

Sea Shepherd to intercept/block Planktos ship
Paul Watson has recently stated that the Sea Shepherd society opposes the plan by the Planktos group to experimentally enrich a region of the subtropical open-ocean with iron in order to enhance phytoplankton growth, which could theoretically bring capture carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. They claim that the ecosystem impacts are unexplored and that this is not legitimately planned by the global community....
