Cops throughout California target Alameda County D.A., Pamela Price

By Lynda Carson - March 11, 2024

According to public records during 2018, public records reveal that Alameda County District Attorney (D.A.) Pamela Price, has been targeted by cops up and down the state in a political campaign that tried to keep her from getting elected into office by the voters. Some of these same right-wing extremist entities, persons, and campaign contributors may also be involved presently in the campaign to recall the progressive Alameda County D.A., Pamela Price, from office.

Reportedly, District Attorney, Pamela Price is expected to, or has reopened 8 past cases involving police killings.

<a href="https://theintercept.com/2023/07/12/recall-oakland-da-pamela-price/#:~:text=The%20Oakland%20Police%20Officers'%20Association,intense%20internal%20and%20public%20criticism.">Just try to imagine being a progressive District Attorney, in Alameda County. A District Attorney living reasonably in fear after being targeted in opposition by a bunch of paranoid cops who may have a fear of reprisals or being prosecuted for being involved in wrong doing while being on-duty as cops in the past, or in the future, such as “The Notorious Oakland Riders,” or the former BART cop prison inmate known as Johannes Mehserle.

Reportedly, cops have been involved with the mafia at times in New York City, and in Chicago, and police misconduct has occurred in many cities all across the nation.

Cops Throughout California Target Alameda County D.A. Pamela Price:

Paul Kelly, of the San Jose Police Officers Association, is listed as the “Treasurer” for “Californians United for Safe Neighborhoods and Schools opposing Pamela Price for District Attorney 2018,” which has targeted Pamela Price.

Reportedly, Paul Kelly has been in the news at times to defend or protect the department when racist cops have been exposed to the public in the San Jose Police Department.

Paul Kelly is also listed as the Assistant Treasurer for the San Jose Police Officer’s Association (PAC).

Additionally, according to public records with the FPPC No. 20/828, “San Jose Police Officer’s Association PAC is a local general purpose committee. Paul Kelly was the Committee’s assistant treasurer and principal officer. The Committee and Kelly failed to include the proper advertisement disclosures on banner-style electronic media advertisement, in violation of Government Code Section 84504.3(b)(1) (1 count),” and was fined $149.00. - https://www.fppc.ca.gov/content/dam/fppc/documents/Stipulations/2021/february/San%20Jose%20Police%20Officers'%20Association%20PAC%20-%20Stip.pdf

Cops Contribute Hundreds Of Thousands Of Dollars In Campaign Contributions In Opposition To Pamela Price:

The 2018 “Recipient Committee Campaign Statement - I.D. #1406085,” for “Californians United for Safe Neighborhoods and Schools opposing Pamela Price for District Attorney 2018,” was heavily financed with many campaign contributions of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Association of the Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, BART Police Officers’ Association, CA Correctional Peace Officers Association, California Narcotic Officers Association Region 1, Deputy Sheriffs Association of Alameda County, Livermore Police Officers Association, Long Beach Police Officers Association, Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association, Los Angeles Police Protective League, Los Angeles School Police Association, Oakland Police Officer’s Association, Peninsula Law Enforcement Association, Sacramento Police Officers Association, San Diego Police Officers Association, San Francisco Police Officers Association, San Jose Police Officers Association, and the Sergeants Benevolent Association.

Reportedly, the Political Action Committee (PAC) known as the “Californians United for Safe Neighborhoods and Schools opposing Pamela Price for District Attorney 2018,” was established by Brenda Grisham, and Carl Chan. It was reportedly financed by the “San Jose Police Officers’ Association and the Los Angeles Police Protective League, with money from the LAPD officers’ association, the Oakland police union, the California Correctional Officers Association,” and other cop associations.

Email from Brenda Grisham's Attorney, plus more...

By Lynda Carson - March 13, 2024

Last night I heard from Paula Gustafson, who claims to be an attorney representing Brenda Grisham. Brenda Grisham is involved in the recall effort of Alameda County D.A. Pamela Price.

See photo of Brenda Grisham with former Chief Armstrong, formerly of the Oakland Police Department (OPD), before he was fired.

According to the OPD, the OPD supports Ms Brenda Grisham & the Foundation she set up called the Christopher L. Jones Foundation. See a link further below...

Paula Gustafson claims that Brenda Grisham was not involved with the Political Action Committee (PAC) known as the “Californians United for Safe Neighborhoods and Schools opposing Pamela Price for District Attorney 2018,” that involved the cops up and down the state, including the Oakland Police Department, in the attack, and battle to keep Pamela Price from becoming the D.A., for Alameda County.

Paula Gustafson is demanding a retraction, even though she has not verified, or provided any documentation of proof that she legally represents Brenda Grisham in any sort of capacity.

Wether or not Paula Gustafson really represents Brenda Grisham, or whether or not Brenda Grisham supported the cops in their efforts and campaign in trying to keep Pamela Price from becoming the D.A. in Alameda County, according to the OPD, the OPD supported Brenda Grisham, and her efforts and activities.

Additionally, according to a report by Oaklandside, the committee established last September by Brenda Grisham and Carl Chan called, SAVE ALAMEDA FOR EVERYONE (SAFE) : RECALL DA Price, has been very active in trying to have Pamela Price recalled.

See copy of email below from Paula Gustafson, and some additional links to some further information further below.

Demand for Retraction

Paula Gustafson

to me, Brenda

Lynda Carson:

I represent Brenda Grisham. In an article authored by you and published on March 11, 2024, titled."Cops throughout California target Alameda County D.A., Pamela Price" you state, in part,

Reportedly, the Political Action Committee (PAC) known as the “Californians United for Safe Neighborhoods and Schools opposing Pamela Price for District Attorney 2018,” was established by Brenda Grisham, and Carl Chan. It was reportedly financed by the “San Jose Police Officers’ Association and the Los Angeles Police Protective League, with money from the LAPD officers’ association, the Oakland police union, the California Correctional Officers Association,” and other cop associations

Ms. Grisham demands that you immediately issue a retraction regarding your statement. The Fox News article you hyperlinked does not show any connection between Ms.Grisham and this PAC. Indeed, Ms. Grisham has no affiliation with this PAC, and she certainly did not establish this PAC. I attach a screenshot of your statement showing the hyperlink.

Should you have any questions or concerns please contact me.

Who’s paying for the District Attorney Pamela Price recall campaign?
Price’s critics have raised over $500,000. Meanwhile, the DA has raised far less to defend herself—$15,000.

by Darwin BondGraham and Eli Wolfe
Nov. 1, 2023, 4:40 p.m.

(The committee Grisham and Chan established in September, “Save Alameda For Everyone,” filed disclosure papers today revealing it has received 225 contributions totaling $212,000 from individual and corporate sources as of Sept. 30. Most contributions were in smaller amounts, ranging from $100 to $250, but the majority of the money raised came from a handful of major donors.)
The second committee that Dreyfuss set up, “Reviving the Bay Area,” has disclosed spending over $338,000 on the recall, but its sources of funding aren’t clear yet, as we’ll explain below.

Alameda DA Campaign Asks Fair Political Practices Commission to Investigate Recall Committee

Posted by Vanguard Administrator
Date: December 08, 2023

Special to the Vanguard

Oakland, CA – District Attorney Pamela Price’s campaign attorneys wrote a letter Thursday requesting that the Fair Political Practices Commission immediately investigate the failure of “Reviving the Bay Area,” a political committee supporting the potential recall of DA Price, to disclose its contributors and to identify itself as primarily formed to support the recall, as required by law, and that the FPPC immediately compel the Reviving Committee to immediately publicly disclose its funders.

In an email to the media on Thursday, the campaign noted, “Though the Reviving Committee was set up and had activity during the third quarter of 2023, it failed to file a report covering the third quarter as required by law.

“The Reviving Committee has therefore illegally hid the source of its funds through September 30 from the public, a serious violation of fundamental campaign laws.”

This is the second major complaint recently by Price’s campaign following accusations that canvassers improperly gathered signatures by having non-Alameda county residents gathering the signatures in violation of current county law.

Chesa Boudin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesa_Boudin

Boudin was elected San Francisco district attorney in the 2019 election, defeating interim district attorney Suzy Loftus.[37][38] Boudin campaigned for the office on a decarceration platform of eliminating cash bail, establishing a unit to re-evaluate wrongful convictions, and refusing to assist Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with raids and arrests.[39] The San Francisco Police Officers Association (SFPOA) and other law enforcement groups spent $650,000 in an unsuccessful effort to defeat Boudin.[40] Attorney General William Barr criticized Boudin and like-minded DAs, accusing them of undermining the police, letting criminals off the hook, and endangering public safety.[41] In an interview during the COVID-19 pandemic, Boudin questioned whether the nation "can safely continue the national system of mass incarceration. Why do we need to take people to jail for non-violent offenses if what they really need is drug treatment or mental health services?"
