Trump Tuesdays - Louisianans Protest Senate GOP Health Bill
DJ Under The Bus was on hand at a rally organized by Metairie Indivisible to hear personal stories and learn why protesters are opposed to the "Better Care Reconciliation Act" - The Senate's version of the GOP House Bill - The American Health Care Act of 2017 #AHCA
Listen now:
WTUL News and Views DJ Under The Bus interviewed organizer Lara Crigger about Metairie Indivisible. Participants at a July 22nd Protest hosted by the organization shared comments and personal stories about why they are urging Senator Bill Cassidy to oppose the GOP Health Bill set for a vote July 4th.
The "First do no harm! Statewide Rally!" was attended by over 60 people who stood out in the wind and weather as the tail end of tropical storm Cindy blew by.
Metairie Indivisible is a bipartisan community of like-minded Metairie residents fighting corruption. Along with other Indivisible chapters in LA, they have been meeting outside the offices of Senator Cassidy each week to express support for the Affordable Care Act, to express concerns about Trump's cabinet appointees, and to stand against the recent Muslim ban.
Listen to what they had to say.
