MILITARY ACTION IN TURKEY There has been a military coup in Turkey on 15 July. When we take a look at the history of Turkey, it is possible to see many military intervention. The first military coup has taken place in 1960s. at that time, then- prime minister Adnan menderes was stepped down by ordinary soldiers. As time passess, Turkish nation faced other military challenges, namely, 1980 internvention. Turkish people was divided among extreme leftist and rightist people. It was so dangerous time that people who has not been in any political dispute could not walk on the street. Because, political groups occupied different zones on the street of Turkey. But what were these groups? And what was their purpose? The people who sided in leftist group defended that type of governance in Turkey must be communism. They fought for this idea for years. Universities was occupied by these groups. As well as these grous, there was rightist groups they defended Turkey against communists. They were chanting slogans:`` communists go Moscow. In order to settle these kinds of disputes Turkish army forces decided to interrupt normal political government. Because people were unhappy because of poorness, low- life conditions and conflict between political groups. When military coup took place in Turkey in 1980, people did not or could not resist. Because the coup had took place at 03:00 am. As a reaction on 15 July 2016, Turkish nation resisted military coup and prevented. Because they really know what the coup is. They showed entire world how a country could be defended. Turkish president Erdogan called people on the streets of Turkey at night. The response from nation came very quickly. And the streets of Turkey was full of people from every political view. In order to say who planned and exercised this attempted, we need to wait and correctly analyze period of time.
