by wtul news

We talked with Michelle Erenberg, who founded Lift Louisiana, an organization fighting for women's rights at the state level. on the table are the process of challenging unconstitutional "TRAP" laws designed to burden women so to restrict access to health care and abortion.

The Louisiana legislature and congressional representation, along with those of Texas and Mississippi, have long placed undue burdens on state residents, but have also held up federal court appointments--actions that make the 5th circuit one of the least functional federal circuits in the nation.

Residents can stay tuned to information on ongoing court challenges and potential for electoral change at Lift Louisiana's listserv and website, as well as social media.
