San Francisco,

Come along on this real estate revealatory procession that matches all contributions to the Aaron Peskin for Supervisor campaign.

The CommonsSF will match every dollar contribution to the Peskin campaign made by walk attendees.

The walk is a survey of San Francisco social movement history, proposing that all social movements are, at bottom, about real estate. All folk, from the Ohlone to the Californios to the Black Panthers to the displaced denizens of today have desired security in geography. Those who control the economic power of "location, location, location" rule the roost, as we well see in the critical challenges facing San Francisco today, evidenced in the November ballot with its proposed legislation. Only one candidate for the 3rd District supervisorial seat has articulated an appreciation that land values belong to the community, and thus that the community ought to rule the roost; that candidate is Aaron Peskin. What he does with that glimmered appreciation is, to some extent, up to you. Come along on this walk. Make a contribution. The CommonsSF will double it. And we'll deliver the message (and the dough) to Peskin that land values are community property.
