One of the requirements of gaining citizenship by way of the proposed Dream Act bill is that students must have "good moral character".
What is good or moral about the U.S. government today which is, among many crimes, waging imperialistic wars, torturing prisoners, and rewarding war criminals? President Obama recently gave a Medal of Freedom to George H.W. Bush.
Why should we expect nothing less than a con job from such an evil government?
It does not care about these children whose teachers have had to purchase school supplies themselves while billions go each week to funding wars aboad and subverting countries from achieving self-sufficiency, let alone prosperity.
The debate is loaded. Progressives want to make this, like many other identity issue topics, into a test pitting the people against vested interests, between Democrats and Republicans.
Here's news that should be front and center in every report here at Indybay: Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin and their carefully vetted politicians will always agree to serve Wall Street before all other interests.
The spokesman on Latino Report says he favors the Dream Act, with caveats. The Dream Act is not the bottom line however. The bottom line is slavery and death.
Slavery: indenturement to student loans for most who choose school.
Death: The military does not serve to defend the U.S., but to pursue imperialistic aims abroad that rupture people's way of life. The job of the military today is to bully, terrorize and kill. It brainwashes young people into believing they are patriotic and doing good when they kill other human beings.
We should all oppose this con job that plays on people's natural desire to better themselves. What a shame that America, as rich as it is, has so few avenues today to actually do that!
