For us in the Filipino American community , the passage of the H.R. 760 , the Filipino Veterans Equity is of the utmost importance.

This issue continues to be the most urgent and longest standing injustice our community has faced for decades. Thank you for your continued leadership and support in fighting for the enactment of the Filipino WWII Veterans Act of 2007, H.R. 760. Congressional Action

Although the Filipino Veterans Equity Act 0f 2007 OR H.R 760 is still pending before the Congress, it is imperative that such legislation that ensures that equal benefits are granted to all Filipino WWII veterans, regardless of place of residency, since all Filipino veterans served under the U.S. Flag. It is at this juncture that your leadership is needed most.

I humbly call upon your leadership to secure the passage of Filipino Veterans equity bill, H.R. 760. And once more we request that you move the bill to the floor for an affirmative vote.

Over 80% of the Filipino WWII veterans have already passed, and of the remaining veterans, most are in their late 70’s, 80’s and 90‘s, living in inequity.

It is time to honor the service of the Filipino WWII veterans, their remarkable lives, their service to this country and, most importantly, their relentless faith in seeing equity passed. I have the utmost confidence in your support and hard work in advancing full equity until it becomes law.
