Community Leaders Play “Arena Roulette” To Determine Proposed Arena’s Actual Location
Will The Proposed Arena Be Located At The Rail Yards Or Somewhere Else?
Tomorrow, a diverse group of local community leaders and elected officials including State Assemblyman Dave Jones and Natomas Unified School District Board Member Ron Dwyer-Voss spin the roulette wheel in an effort to determine where the Arena Tax Proponents plan to locate the proposed arena. All of the literature distributed by the proponents of the new tax highlight the benefits of the new arena being located at the rail yards, but last week JOE MALOOF ADMITTED THAT THEY NEED TO CONSIDER ALTERNATIVE SITES DUE TO DIFFICULTIES IN DEVELOPING AN ARENA AT THE RAILYARDS. It appears that the only part of the proposed arena deal that proponents can agree on is that the taxpayers should pay the bill while the billionaire owners reap all of the profits.
WHO: Diverse group of local community leaders and elected officials including:
State Assemblyman Dave Jones and Natomas Unified School District Board
Member Ron Dwyer-Voss

WHEN: Wednesday, September 13, 2006 @ 1:00 PM
