Samoan Flag Day - 1st week of August every single year
Evey single year the first week of August is celebrated as Samoan Flag Day. Thousands join Polynesians joined in unity to celebrate the Flag Day with sports such as rugby, cricket - lots of singing, music and dancing. There is a lot of speech making and traditional rituals that keep the Samoan and more the Polynesian Culture alive.
It is always a pleasure to join thousands of Polynesians mostly Samoan and Tongan at the Crocker Amazon Park every year - the first week of August.
This year as usual there were the famous rugby and cricket games. Lots of good singing, music, dancing, and food.
The Churches play an important part in the parade and throughout the festive days.
The youth play an important role as you will see from the photographs:
