Palestinian resistance blows up Israeli military vehicle in northern Gaza

Gaza - Three Palestinian resistance armed wings jointly assaulted an Israeli military installation late Saturday night where they successfully blew up an Israeli military vehicle in northern Gaza Strip.

The Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, armed wing of Fatah, the Quds Brigades, armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, and Nasser Salahuddin Brigades, armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, carried out the stunning attack, hitting an Israeli military jeep with a guided missile.

A statement jointly issued by the three armed wings affirmed that fierce clashes erupted after the explosion where they exchanged gunfire with the confused IOF troops, inflicting a number of casualties in their lines.

The statement affirmed that the assault was a primary response to the Israeli cruel aerial, land, and sea attacks on Palestinian civil targets in the Strip and the West Bank.

One Palestinian attacker Numan Mohammed Abu Zakari, 21, of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip was killed during the clashes. Israeli occupation forces denied Palestinian ambulances access to the dead fighter, Palestinian medics revealed.

Meanwhile, Palestinian citizen Wa'el Khalil Kahwaji, 23, was shot and seriously wounded with Israeli bullets near the martyrs' cemetery on the same night.

Muawyya Hasaneen, director-general of the emergency department in the PA ministry of health, affirmed that the man was hit with two bullets in his right thigh, and was left bleeding for a period of time before the IOF allowed ambulance cars to carry him to the hospital.

On Sunday morning, Israeli fighter jets and Apache choppers fired a number of air-to-surface missiles targeting the Palestinian town of Abasan, east of Khan Younis district.

Local eyewitnesses revealed that at least three Israeli missiles were fired and slammed into an open farm without causing any casualties.

Israeli warplanes continued intensive hovering over Gaza Strip, while Israeli tanks and artillery kept on shelling densely Palestinian areas with projectiles and mortar rounds.

PPP leader slams US Congress for anti-resistance remarks
By
Dec 18, 2005, 11:08

Nablus - Khaled Mansoor, one of the Palestinian People Party (PPP) politburo members, has strongly rapped the US congress remarks threatening to deprive the PA of US financial aid if it didn’t take action against the Palestinian resistance factions, and block Hamas from taking part in January parliamentary elections.

Mansoor told reporters Saturday that the Congress statements amounted to a flagrant intervention in the Palestinian internal affairs in addition to running counter to the so-called US democratic slogans.

He pointed out that the Congress' stance was redolent of the US dreams of creating a "dummy regime" akin to that led by Afghanistan's Hamid Karzai in order to bow to the US dictates and pressures aimed at achieving "squalid" American interests.

Mansoor urged the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the resistance factions to firmly stand up to the US-Israeli pressures meant to blackmail the Palestinian people, and to be unanimous on holding the legislative elections on time.

The PPP leader finally warned that Israel might attempt to block the legislative polls, urging the PA to remain vigilant towards any Israeli bid to sabotage the electoral process.

Palestinian retaliatory missile strikes target Sderot, army post east of Gaza
By
Dec 17, 2005, 12:14

Gaza - The Fatah Movement's armed wing, the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (AMB), on Friday evening fired three Hassan-3 missiles at the Israeli settlement of Sderot to the north of the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades said, in a terse communiqué a copy of which was sent to the PIC, that the attack came in retaliation to the continuous Israeli assassination crimes against the Palestinian resistance leaders and activists.

Also Friday evening, the Quds Brigades, armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that they launched two Quds-2 missiles at Sderot, pointing out that the raid was in response to the Israeli failed bid to liquidate Sheikh Khader Habib, one of the Movement's prominent leaders, who escaped with shrapnel wounds an Israeli missile raid Thursday.

Loud blasts were heard in the colony, and Israeli sources admitted that the two rockets struck the settlement, the armed wing's statement underlined.

In the same context, the military wing of the popular resistance committees (PRC, Al-Nasser Salahuddin Brigades, claimed the full credit for firing three rockets at an Israeli army post to the east of the Israeli Kissufim settlement, east of the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades in statement made it clear that the attack came in reaction to the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in general and the resistance fighters in particular.

PRC say assassinating four leaders last nail in truce's coffin
By
Dec 15, 2005, 12:52

Gaza - The Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) described the latest Israeli assassination of four of their field commanders Wednesday night as "the last nail in the calm's coffin".

An Israeli reconnaissance plane fired three air-to-surface missiles at a speeding Palestinian car in Shajeyya suburb, east of Gaza city, where four of the PRC's fighters were killed on the spot while five other passers-by suffered shrapnel wounds.

Abu Abeer, the PRC spokesman vowed that his group would not let this crime go unpunished as he advised Israeli settlers in Sderot and nearby colonies to expect the worst if they remained there, pledging to target the settlements with volleys of rockets.

"The missiles fired at our Mujahideen were indeed the last nail in the truce's coffin", he emphasized, holding Israel responsible for the collapse of the already fragile calm.

The crime irked other Palestinian resistance factions, including the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (AMB), armed wing of Fatah Movement, with the latter swearing to keep arms up against the Israeli occupation forces till full liberation of the last tiny Palestinian village.

"Go to hell you and all your allies calling for renewing the truce. We will not heed your calls, and we will never surrender. We advise Sharon and his settlers and soldiers to prepare their black coffins because our commandos are on their way (to launch raids)", the AMB said in a statement addressed to the PA chairman, Mahmoud Abbas.

Sami Abu Zuhri, spokesman of Hamas in Gaza Strip, deprecated the "cowardly" Israeli crime, saying, "It is part of the Israeli string of crimes against our people that must be avenged", holding the Israeli occupation government responsible for all adverse repercussions.

Both the PRC armed wing, Nasser Salahudeen Brigades, and the AMB fired a number of home made missiles at Sderot and other Israeli settlements inside the green line (1948-occupied Palestinian lands) shortly after the assassination
