12/1: Percy Schmeiser to Speak at UC Berkeley
Please join Students for Agrarian Discourse this Thursday, December 1, 3-5 pm in the CNR Student Resources Center, 260 Mulford on the west side of the U.C. Berkeley campus.
If you have the time and you haven't heard Percy speak, here's an opportunity. He rocked the Bioneers Conference a couple of years ago with his story about being sued by Monsanto for copyright infringement after their patented GMO canola genes from a neighboring farmer's field ended up in plants on his land. He's countersuing for destruction of 30 years of his own plant breeding.
You can read/hear his story at http://www.percyschmeiser.com/conflict.htm.
