Criminal homicide complaint filed against Maxxam/Pacific Lumber Co.
Former sheriff, district attorney, homicide detective also named

Eureka, CA-On Thursday, March 17, 2005, North Coast Earth First!
activist Shunka Wakan, filed a criminal homicide complaint against
Maxxam Corporation, of Houston, Texas, and Pacific Lumber Company
(PL), of Humboldt County, California, for the death of David "Gypsy"
Chain. Chain was killed on September 17, 1998, when a
Maxxam/Pacific Lumber Co. logger felled trees in the direction of a
group of Earth First! activists. The complaint was filed with the
Humboldt County Sheriff's Department.

Also included in the complaint were former Humboldt County
sheriff Dennis Lewis, former district attorney Terry Farmer, and
former homicide detective Juan Freeman, for criminal conspiracy to
conceal homicide.

"I believe that David Chain's death was no mere 'accident,'
and that re-opening the investigation would reveal both an act of
violence, on behalf of Maxxam/PL, and a blatant cover-up, on behalf
of the former sheriff, district attorney, and homicide detective."

Interviews and copies of the complaint are available through the
North Coast Earth First! Media office, and are also online, at
http://www.northcoastearthfirst.org.

With the Water Board sucking up all the air in the room, now is a good time to try and show that NCEF is still a player. Keep up the good work S.W.

Four comments posted by various folk and yet only one that survives the scrutnity of the censors is....
The one where I suck up to Shunka.

"I believe that David Chain's death was no mere 'accident,'
and that re-opening the investigation
---would reveal both shunka and jeromy where with him when he died but the official time of death is two hours earlyer that when the tree fell
why has shunka and jeromy refused to talk to police?
why do they change the story of why they where there?

"b" you hit the nail on the head. It sure seems these people are one way when it comes to certain postings on this site. I think maybe Shunka and Remedy are the censors. They sure do not like to be questioned on some of the false information they post on this site. Shunka, how come Cindy Allsbrook doesn't know about your letter to the county trying to re-open her son's case? Don't you think you have caused her enough hurt? Get a life.

As a private investigator who had an opportunity to review the David Chain accident, I submit to you the following. Another name you might want to add to your list of suspects that needs further investigation is a Jason B. Wilson, P.O. Box748, Bayside, CA. This person and a few others were the instigators of the action that lead to Mr. Chains death. You might have a better chance of having the local D.A. re-open a wrongfully death case or accomplice to murder against this person than to reopen the already settled case. Call me if I can be of help to you or if I should forward my information to the local D.A.. Good Luck, Shunka. Robbie Pointer, 1022 N.W. 175th St., Shoreline, Wa. 98177
