Ottawa, Canada: The Struggle of Non-Status Algerians Continues in Court

On May 29th, 2003 ten members of the Action Committee for Non-Status
Algerians and two supporters were brutally arrested in the Minister of
Immigration's Ottawa offices. They were delivering a letter requesting a
meeting with the then-Minister Denis Coderre, to discuss the situation of
non-status Algerians who were still facing deportation.

Los Angeles, Alta California, January 8, 2005 - (ACN)
Mexican-American and other students at Southwestern
College, located between the City of San Diego and the
US/Mexico border, were extremely offended recently
when the campus newspaper published a crude, vile, and
xenophobic article directed against the large
immigrant community served by the college.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Bush administration asked a federal appeals court Wednesday to decide quickly whether foreign terror suspects can challenge their confinement in U.S. courts.
