Tuesday, February 1: A six-session course titled An Introduction to Reading Marx will begin on Tues., Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. in Room 12 of the Sierra 2 Center, 2791-24th St., Sacto. The text for the course is How to Read Karl Marx by Ernst Fischer (Monthly Review Press, 1996). It offers clear and concise explanations of Marx's main points. This is a free course for the public. Jazz West Productions, a division of Sacramento’s Creative Concepts Systems announces 2005 Scheduled Events including the February 8th performance of “Great Women of Jazz,” the 1890 to 1990 narrated musical history with dance, performed by The Jazz Generation which begins regular Friday night shows with dance at Sacramento’s Persian Garden Restaurant on January 28.
