Here are a few photos of some of the strikers. If you spot a friend of yours, let them know their picture is online.

I love how much support the hotel strikers are getting. On New Montgomery Street especially, most drivers honk their horns as they drive by. It's pretty stirring. I also love the mix of people on the picket lines. Real diversity in solidarity. I wish the workers all the best in getting what they need and deserve to live a decent life.

§pickup yo picket, damnit

A "flying community solidarity picket" has been organized by supporters of the hotel workers and will start at Union Square on, yes, Sunday, October 17 at 7PM. Go to the corner of Geary and Powell prepared to have a good time.

This will be the second flying picket. The first one was last Sunday and was great. This one will be even better EVEN IF IT RAINS! The statement is even stronger if we're facing adverse weather conditions, don't you think?

If you arrive late, listen for noise, and if that doesn't work, refer to this list of hotels:
