More Bush Bulges

Everyone has by now seen the photos or heard speculation that Bush was wearing a wire in the first debate. The Bush camp dismissed the rectangular bulge in the middle of his back as due to a rumpling of fabric. As if this weren't an obviously poor explanation of what's seen in the picture, further doubt is cast on it by the fact that there are shots of Bush on other occasions that show the exact same thing.

For instance, included in the special features section of the _Fahrenheit 9/11_ DVD is a segment with Bush's remarks from the Rose Garden after he spoke to the 9/11 commission. That very same rectangular bulge in the middle of his back can be seen at the 5:00 mark, as he begins walking back up the porch. It's as clear as day. I hope someone or some organization will capture a still shot from the footage and see fit to include it in their reporting on this story. It would cast serious doubt on Bush's competence if it turns out that he couldn't carry on a 90-minute debate on foreign policy (supposedly his strong suit) without someone whispering in his ear.
