Slavery in America is implemented by atomizing consciousness, which is done by arousing hostility and competitiveness, and this is accomplished by instilling greed and an attachment to impermanent materiality so that fear of loss becomes a permanent state of mind. The American public is a mob in psychic solitary confinement. American politics is a trance -- like spider venom -- anesthetizing the public so it offers the least resistance to the masters of its fate. How is this trance to be broken, the public mind released, and American society transformed? Consider the following outline for revolution.

The ability of the movement to accommodate the self-realization of the widest variety of people, each in his and her uniqueness, and yet to productively combine their efforts into organized political force must be its most essential feature.

Such a movement would recognize that its political success depends on its being a vehicle for the fulfillment of the most basic motivation of individuals -- to find meaning and purpose to their lives.

An overt revolution (nonviolent and democratic is preferred) might appear to be sudden, but it would simply be the final act of a long, largely imperceptible process of infiltration. People in all walks of life choosing to become part of the movement and doing what they can to promote it, until a time is reached when they can openly complete the revolution. Rome was never challenged by superior physical power, it was corroded by the failure of its prevalent attitudes to nourish the spiritual and psychic needs of its people, and it was infiltrated by a movement that did meet those needs -- Christianity. The Imprisoned American Mind

But there is another possibility. The society could be deviant, its psychic "field" twisted and misdirected so its norms are skewed from what is easily understood -- outside of this society -- to be decent and humane. In such an aberrant society, the governing psychic field can easily orient the compasses of individuals who do not have their own independent source -- or frame -- of reference. Such individuals, placid in their continuity within the social norms of their group, are members of a mass psychosis.

An individual inoculates himself from being infected by mass psychoses by developing a capacity for critical thought, an understanding of human nature and the reality of his own personality, by consciously working to improve and maintain his character, and by developing connections to sources of insight and compassionate awareness (religion can be one such example). This requires continuing mental effort over one's lifetime.

Minds that remain largely unused because of ignorance, which is the child of laziness, will be found by mass media ("propaganda," in the old days), filled with easily swallowed psychic worms that are coated with syrupy sweet sex, glistening cherry-red violence, desire-fulfillment fantasy, voyeurism, and lowest-common-denominator semi-pornographic mass culture. Once embedded, the underlying psychic messages re-program the thought patterns of the consuming individual for ease of remote control by the social programming elite.

If you don't think, someone will do it for you, but not for your benefit.

The psychology of mass psychosis is how small groups of wealthy elites control larger populations.

People who support George W. Bush (for example) are not swayed by ANY logical argument or observable fact (such as the false justification for the Iraq War, and no end to terrorism as a result). They vote to maintain the primacy of their self-image -- reflected by Bush and conservative Republicanism -- in American political and FINANCIAL affairs, the latter being the actual totality of concern. A voter votes for the "me"-reflector to be in charge. No logical or moral argument can ever counteract that.

In many ways, the rivalry between Republicans and Democrats is a battle to control the mass psychosis of American socio-political placidity.

We Are the Future that is Mined in the Past

In addition to profits from oil resources and government war contracts, there is a second motive that also drives U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and elsewhere. It is the creation of a New World Order based on the model of collectivism, and it is supported with equal vigor by leaders of both major political parties. Mr. Bush and his team are deeply committed to that goal. [For an in-depth examination of this agenda, see The Future Is Calling in the Issues section of the Freedom Force web site.] Fahrenheit 911 gives no attention to that agenda and even goes so far as to claim that it plays no role in these events. That theme was advanced in a statement from one of the on-camera experts who said, “This has nothing to do with conspiracies or political agendas. It’s all about oil and making money.”

Omission of this bi-partisan political agenda makes it possible to deliver the message that America’s problems in the Middle East are caused by greedy, war-mongering Republicans who are in power and that the obvious solution is to replace them with humanitarian, peace-loving Democrats. This message was implied throughout the film, but it broke through in clear language when a young soldier said, “I used to be a Republican, but when I get back home, I’m going to work hard to get Democrats elected.” If the film had acknowledged the New World Order agenda of the Bush Administration, it would have led to the fact that leaders of the Democrat Party, including its presidential candidate John Kerry, share the same vision, and the partisan message would not have been possible.

4. The carefully crafted content of the film and the timing of its release make it clear that it was conceived as a covert campaign tool for the Democrat Party and the John Kerry campaign. It follows what I call the Quigley Formula, based on the strategy advocated by Professor Carroll Quigley, President Clinton’s mentor when he was a student at Georgetown University. In his book, Tragedy and Hope, Quigley explained the value of allowing people to believe that, by choosing between the Democrat and Republican parties, they are determining their own political destiny. To a collectivist like Quigley, this is a necessary illusion to prevent voters from meddling into the important affairs of state. If you have ever wondered why the two American parties appear so different at election time but not so different afterward, listen carefully to Quigley’s approving overview of American politics:

The National parties and their presidential candidates, with the Eastern Establishment assiduously fostering the process behind the scenes, moved closer together and nearly met in the center with almost identical candidates and platforms, although the process was concealed as much as possible, by the revival of obsolescent or meaningless war cries and slogans (often going back to the Civil War). … The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy. … Either party in office becomes in time corrupt, tired, unenterprising, and vigorless. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies. Democratic convention-
DUMP Edwards Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is downright gorgeous, and a very good speaker with a pretty authentic smile, all the while. Her speech was excellent and convincing, In my opinion she's got to be the sexiest major public official.

Me and my "bud" couldn't stand Martin O'Malley, macho, militant a true authority suck-up.

As Edwards was introduced did ya' notice that out came the phallic placards?, for the first time-the long , tall signs with people boinking them up and down. Science is used to create an atmosphere for effect, obviously with many other subtle techniques also.

If you can find Edwards speech, he seem to have some difficulty and not be at ease and once his mouth opened for a couple seconds, no words came out but his tounge coiled, swirled and darted around in his mouth, weirdly for a moment.

Why aren't more people talking about the other elections, might it not be as important to have a Democratic house and senate, use the subpoene power to bust the republican's to kingdom come and teach the DLC wing of the Democratic party a lesson-that we need a true opposition force to stop militarism.The people are far ahead of the public servants handed to us to legitmize.

Why don't the people cancel the election, refuse to participate till we get open debates and a choice of real people 6-8 individuals representing a wide swath of the divesity and aspects of America?

WHY legitimize the Republicans by even showing up in New York?
The I-ching says do not confront evil directly , because then it learns how to defend itself.
We should have a better meeting, event that could rival the hypocrisy for coverage.
Doesn't a counter force and conflict feed into their Us/them philosophy- they control the media, they will be able to manipulate the perceptions, spin to their advantage.
aren't the protesters in some way guinea pigs for the natinal security state enforcers to practice on? staged provocations possible used to feed fears and elicit more draconian control measures approved by the masses from their couches in locked houses?

All these pumped up security folk who's loyalty is bought with a paycheck, with a letdown if no one showed would maybe realize- that this country really depends on people who actually build and make things useful to life enhancing good progress?
