TO BEGIN WORKING TOWARDS THE REAL INDEPENDENCE DAY on NOVEMBER 3!!!!

No American Left Behind presents the premiere San Francisco screening of
the Media Education Foundation’s new film, “Hijacking Catastrophe: Fear
9/11 & the Selling of American Empire” this Monday, July 5th at the
Roxie Cinema (http://www.roxie.com <http://www.roxie.com/> ). A perfect
companion to Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11”, “Hijacking Catastrophe”
examines how a radical fringe of the Republican Party has used the
trauma of the 9/11 terror attacks to advance a pre-existing agenda to
radically transform American foreign policy while rolling back civil
liberties and social programs at home. The evening will entail spoken
word performances by the highly acclaimed poets of Youth Speaks
(http://www.youthspeaks.org<http://www.youthspeaks.org>), the intelligent and
inspiring music of Dan Bern (http://www.danbern.com <http://www.danbern.com/> )
and rousing remarks by Medea Benjamin of Code Pink
(http://www.codepink4peace.org <http://www.codepink4peace.org/> ). Several
swing state voter registration/get out the vote organizations will be on
hand to describe their strategies. It will be an AMAZING event!!!

We are asking for a donation of $10-$20 at the door for this event. All
proceeds will go to swing state voter registration and get-out-the-vote
efforts!
