The problem with resolutions is that they are non-binding. In SF, there are resolutions passed every week proclaiming such idiotic things as "Dog Walkers Day" and "Billy Joe Jim Bob Day" and "Recognition of Bottled Water as a Drinking Alternative" and so on.
Resolutions are feel-goody hot air manuevers that pols do for constituents and reelection cookies.
You would be better off getting signatures for a local ballot initiative instead of wasting your time on ineffectual resolutions. But then again, the Supreme Court has already ruled that corporations have the same rights as a person, so I'm still not sure how far you think you're going to get, especially since both the Dems and Reps are beholden to the corporations.
In a way, it's more revolutionary to just not support corps at all, fight them before they come into your community, buy less, and buy local, organic, and small. Educating those you buy from and those in your community on alternatives to corporate culture is much more tactical in defeating corporate control over society than appealing to a bunch of cynical and cowardly politicians. But then, that takes work, and who on the left actually works for a living?
:) Sad, but true. I guess I'm being cynical also.
