Thursday's Jail Solidarity Update

by update
Update As of 7PM June 10th 2004
6:45PM - All the John and Janes Does, about 40 total, have now been released and at this time are walking from 850 Bryant back to the converngence space. There are apparently no major injuries. Overall, spirits seem high and, needless to say, everyone is thrilled to be out!
4:45PM - A final deal has been reached with all of the remaining protesters: they will divulge their names in return for having all of their charges dropped and being released from the jail starting at 6PM. It is interesting to note how important it is for the police to document the identities of all of the protesters, even though they have agreed that they did nothing wrong and were wrongly imprisoned... On a side note, the two felony cases were released last night with all of their charges dropped, as well. There has been a request for supporters to greet prisoners upon their release at 850 Bryant Street.
1:50PM - Currently, the first group of 6 has been herded into the courtroom to be arraigned. The DA argued that by giving the names "Jane/John Doe," they were in fact giving false names and should be charged with the misdemeanor act of giving a false name to an officer. The judge subsequently ruled against that. Everyone in the first group of 6 started out with one misdemeanor charge and one infraction (similar to a traffic ticket). All the misdemeanors for the first 6 have been dismissed, leaving only the infractions. The last hour has been spent arguing whether or not to release the detainees, even though they haven't given their names, as infractions are generally not arrestable offenses. A recess has been called and arguments will resume at 2PM. Currently, around 40 supporters are in the courtroom, and others are welcome to join them at 850 Bryant Street, courtroom 27.
11:15AM - All Jane and John Does have had their cases consolidated and will have a hearing together in Dept 27 on the 2nd Floor of 850 Bryant.
9:00AM - Jail Solidarity continues inside 850 Bryant and outside on the 7th St side of the jail.

there is a lesson to be learned and if i had thought about it,i would have told all the jail solidarity homies this.instead of saying jane or john doe, which the court ruled that say those names where giving the pigs false info, just say" i decline to state my name or nationality" especially for the reason why im sure most did solidarity for, where some comrades who could be deported.next time they wont have shit to say!

actuallly, as i understand it and at least for all of the Jane Does...NONE of us gave a name...not even "jane doe". based on agreement beforehand we all agreed to stay mute. however, had we not given our names we would have been kept in jail for at least another 5 days(weekend) with NO charges. this was something that the sherriff department upheld...not the court. but be aware...we did not say ANY name.

America has become a Hellish place where arrests and beatings are common. The terror seems to be going worldwide. We are under seige by our enemies in the USA.

In Alabama, I was beaten and arrested, with my neck almost broken and attempts to knock me unconscious by grabbing the carotid artery when I simply and lawfully tried to enter my native city's city council meeting, the Mobile Alabama City Council Meetings.

If you are a disabled veteran as I am, you have probably learned that VA healthcare is the worst. Not only do they give ancient useless medications, but they are performing experiments on veterans in Los Angeles and editing records before vets view them.

The cartoon shows that they act with courage against us, even forcing felonies on auditors who alert the public to atrocities in government, and throwing them in jails and prisons.

Why volunteer? We are at war with the master from the day we are born into this wretched island nation of propaganda.

Beware if you seek medical care

The police were operating on orders of the gestapo mayor and the embezzling city council.

We need a new rising Democratic Socialist party and we need to encourage the disruption of the elitist regimes dictatorship elections. We can do this by doing counts and stats at their election places and we can disrupt the states that do not allow millions to vote, including Alabama.

Spain recently had a Socialist President elected and he immediately withdrew troops from Iraq. America needs a Socialist party, whether Democratic Socialist or otherwise. We need to demand democracy or demand death.

Our nation is a lie and our leaders are not one of us. Come to Mobile Alabama and try to bring a camera into the city council meeting. I dare you. They quit allowing cameras in to the meetings also.

Support all Socialist parties until the true leader emerges. Our enemies are among us. Television is their propaganda medium.
