Operation HP(Hunter's Point)

Look up in the sky. It’s a bird, it’s a plane? No, it’s the helicopter holice. Imagine the Highway Patrol off the highway and rolling down Third Street? Can’t believe it?

Believe it, because for the past couple of days the Highway Patrol has been occupying Third Street by pulling people over left and right for so-called traffic violations. This is a result of the recent killing of a police near Newcomb Street.

Two days ago, when I first spotted a Highway Patrol car on Third, I thought they were just passing through. Then I started hearing hella sirens and a Highway Patrol officer saying, “Pull over” over the loud speaker every five minutes. Man, it is so many sirens going off right now around here you would think Osama was hiding in the Point.

It really hit me when I got off work and there was a helicopter circling over Joe Lee gym, a place where young kids and teens go hang out at after school in Hunters Point. Why would the city want to bring the Highway Patrol into a situation they have nothing to do with? Why is it that our soldiers fall and get brutalized by holice everyday, but let one of theirs get killed and it’s a problem.

How long can we sit around and let our people be dehumanized by the holice? I mean they are dehumanizing us when they harass innocent people who are just crusin’ in they ride, enjoying the sunshine, and treat them like they just murdered a cop. I know it feels hopeless, but if we take it, they’re gonna keep giving it to us. I’m not saying go out and do something stupid - just watch your surroundings and peep how the holice are starting to act strange and be even more aggressive than they already are.

I think the holice are just upset about DA Kamala Harris not requesting the death penalty for David Hill, the person who is being accused of killing the cop in HP. Guilty until proven innocent, I guess, because they’re already trying to fry him with the death penalty.

They can’t do anything to Kamala, so they’re taking it out on our community. And please believe they’re mad about this and they are going to do everything in their power to break down the Black community.

By taking away our transportation, they’re making it harder for us to go to work, school or even take our children to daycare. When the officer was killed, the gunman who shot him was on foot, so why are they harassing people in cars? How long is this going to go on, and who is going to be the voice of the community?

I guess they’re turning Hunters Point into Hunt Down Hill and loving every bit of it. The only advice I can give you is, keep your mouth closed, your eyes open and your friends close, but your enemies even closer (if you know what I mean).
