What: An Anti-Marriage banner and fliering campaign to link marriage as an institution to war, classism, racism, and political opportunism.
When: April 20th, 11am
Where: Dolores Park, 18th Street and Dolores
Who: Gay Shame and other anti-marriage allies
Please Join Gay Shame and other anti-marriage folk at the ANSWER rally, to bring our message to liberals who are intent on making Gavin Newsom look like a saint, for what was really nothing more than paying off the affluent gays who got him elected in the first place.
Many people, even progressives, are far too eager to put aside their politics to support the inclusion of gays into an unreformable fascist institution. We will urge people not to marry, or to get divorced if they have already married.
Gay Shame will bring a huge, gorgeous banner and fliers articulating our stance. We hope to pass these out and dialogue with any people or groups who would like to know more about our stance on the Gay Marriage debate.

4/20 seems kinda cool as a date since everyone think it has something to do with smoking pot, but 4/20 is actually a neonazi holliday. Adolph Hitler was born 4/20/1889

Why should anyone pay attention to Gay Shame?
Oops, i meant to write March 20th. Guess i had something else on the mind.
The European legal concept of marriage starts in ancient Rome, when "the family" was a collection of persons (slaves, wife, children) virtually owned by the PATERFAMILIAS. Yes, that was fascist.
However, thanks mainly to the efforts of 19th- & 20th-century feminists, marriage has been partially humanized -- at least in California, tho not in many Muslim countries.

I agree that the institution of marriage is reformable.
Those who claim marriage is necessarily as it always has been, and must necessarily remain the same forever are simply wrong.
Bush, Robertson, Fallwell and Gay Shame are wrong in their belief that gay marriage is wrong because the institution of marriage has never changed and cannot ever change.
