Peace & Sustainability Community Potluck

When:
Sunday, February 8, 2004, 5-8pm

Where:
Unitarian Universalist Society
2425 Sierra Blvd, Sacramento

Are you concerned about peace & justice, diminishing supply of oil and other
non-renewable resources? Wonder what you can do to help achieve a more
peaceful, just and sustainable world? Then come to the Sacramento Area
Peace Action and the Unitarian Universalist Society’s Peace and
Sustainability Potluck. This community gathering will provide an opportunity
for participants to: 1) learn more and ask questions about specific areas
of sustainability in which they are interested; 2) discuss approaches to
sustainability with others; and 3) take action to promote sustainability.

There is no cost to attend this event. Bring a dish to share (preferably
organic or no-spray, locally grown), and your own plates/utensils. Enjoy
your meal at one of several information/discussion tables or sample a few.
Planned topics include:

Environmental Activism,
Grow your own, food that is (community gardens, organic gardening),
Buy your own, food that is (community supported agriculture, cooperatives),
Car options (hybrids, bio-diesel, veggie oil, car coops, others),
Making the most of biking,
Fair Trade Consuming and Activism,
Sustainability at Home/Permaculture.
