On Saturday June 22, 2002, Wallace Stegner Environmental Center will host a program titled “Saving the Last Shangri-La, Bhutan”, the Koret Auditorium from 2:00-3:30 p.m. The program includes a colorful slide presentation on Bhutan and a discussion by Dr. George Archibald, co-founder and chairman of the renowned International Crane Foundation, Mr. Lam Dorji, Executive Director of Bhutan’s Royal Society for the Protection of Nature, Mr. Hishey Tshering, Director of Bhutan Heritage Travels. The program will be moderated by Nancy H. DeStefanis, Executive Director of the Stow Lake Environmental Education Project. A reception will follow in the Library's Latino/Hispanic Community Room.
