Annual Human Rights Festival 5:30-9:30pm, Saturday, December 8 at Hart Center, 915 27th St. Sacramento Annual Human Rights Festival, sponsored by Grandmothers for Peace and Sacramento-Yolo Peace Action. Featuring Out of Kelter band, traditional Arab folk dancing by the Baladna Arabic Folkloric Troupe, and poems and songs by local artists. International foods and crafts will be sold. Minimum ticket price is $10 and larger donations are welcome as all tickets proceeds will go to help Afghan and Palestine refugees. Advanced purchase is recommended, send a check to Peace Action, the number of tickets you want and a self-addressed stamped envelop to: Sacramento-Yolo Peace Action, 909 12th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. (For a tax deductible donation, write checks to the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC - www.afsc.org) and put for "Afghan refugees".)
