Fresno Bee editorial cartoons

by Mike Rhodes (MikeRhodes [at] Comcast.net)
Exhibit “A” and “B” to show that The Fresno Bee does occasionally get it right.

There has been a lot of talk that The Fresno Bee is just a lap dog of the rich and powerful in this community. While I agree that their primary purpose in this community is to make money for their stockholders, keep their advertisers happy, and maintain the ruling class’s privilege, sometimes a guest editorial or graphic will show up on their pages that make sense. For example, I loved Lallo Alcaraz’s La Cucaracha cartoon in the January 1, 2004. The cartoon managed to get a BUSH NO MORE IN 2004 and DON’T REAPPOINT BUSH picket sign in the daily paper for New Year’s Day.

Below are two other examples of the Bee actually having something of interest in the paper for poor and working people last year.
