Bomb-throwing Walnut Creekers throw molotov cocktail at traffic circle
The more agitated members of the Unblock faction have threatened -- unsuccessfully, so far -- to take over the "pro-barrier" downtown association, impeach city council members and sue for the removal of the barriers.
When Walnut Creek officials installed a roundabout last year, vandals struck twice within a month, according to Kathy Wilkie, assistant engineer for the city of Walnut Creek. First, they cut down four oak trees placed in the middle of the circle. Later, someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the temporary structure.
