Come support group that received death threat

Regarding the death threat* received by Alison Weir and If Americans Knew:
A number of people have offered to come to our office on Monday, Oct. 6, at 1:30 pm to stand with us as we refuse to stop our efforts to inform the American public accurately, fully, and truthfully about Israel and Palestine. We welcome all those who would like to join us. The Berkeley Police say that they will be monitoring the area and will check for explosives.
Nevertheless, we would like to emphasize that we take this threat seriously. Fanatic defenders of Israel have committed acts of violence in the past. The chairman and a member of the Jewish Defense League were indicted January 10 on charges of conspiring to bomb the office of Congressman Daryl Issa. The group was also investigated for the 1985 murder of the West Coast Regional Director of the American Arab Anti-discrimination Committee.
According to Middle Eastern expert Donald Neff: “In a 1986 study of domestic terrorism, the Department of Energy concluded: ‘For more than a decade, the Jewish Defense League (JDL) has been one of the most active terrorist groups in the United States....Since 1968, JDL operations have killed 7 persons and wounded at least 22’.”
This is of particular concern, as If Americans Knew founder Alison Weir is listed as an “enemy” on the website of the New York JDL. In addition to slandering her and stating, in a reversal of the truth, that she “denies the holocaust,” the group writes: “MAY YOU ONE DAY KNOW WHAT LIVING IN TERROR IS LIKE.”
If Americans Knew will not, however, be silenced or intimidated, and will continue to work to disseminate the factual information that Americans have the right and need to know. It is our belief that the American people, finally armed with such information, will take the steps necessary to end the tragic and escalating carnage in Israel and Palestine.

This is not a joke. On Monday you better watch out. Don't come to work. And close your organization or you're going to die."

Weird. I was in the bathroom following that event, although I had just been teaching earlier on and didn't attend. Some older jewish ladies said that the event on campus was very respectful and people weren't shouting at each other or anything like that because the moderator did a good job.

Einstein did say that but it doesnt contradict that he considered himself a Zionist. Zionism isnt about support for any Jewish state, its about support for A Jewish state. Einstein did have problems with many things that were happening in Israel prior to its founding, but he was a leading member of the WZO.
Einstein was a Zionist. Its largely people's failure to recognize the difference between Zionism and support for a current Israeli government that makes antiZionism seem similar to antiSemitism. Zionism isnt about repression; support for a Jewish state and support for all of Israel's policies are not the same thing. The recent refusal to bomb Palestinian by self proclaimed Zionist members of the IDF airforce must confuse antiZionists for similar reasons. Opposition to Sharon, opposition to the occupation and opposition to masscres in the 40s dont make one an antiZionist. I've been receiving death threats for almost two years for the very same reasons specified in the lead article. I've found that in my case and in the case of various others the source is a group of cyber terrorists called KOBE. They operate out of Computers N.L.A. in Harbor City, CA. I believe that they are connected to the JDL. You should suggest that your local police explore a connection between the death threats and Computers N.L.A.

The Jewish Defense League (JDL) has conducted terrorist bombings here in the US. Alex Odeh was killed by JDL members who then fled to Israel.
In 1985, they planted a bomb in an Alex Odeh's office which killed him (he was a member of the ADC- American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee) in Santa Ana, CA:
"[Alex Odeh] was killed in 1985 when a pipe bomb exploded as he opened the door to enter his Santa Ana office...Immediately after the 1985 assassination the FBI identified three suspects, all of them believed to be affiliated with the JDL, who fled to Israel. Two of the suspects were Robert and Rochelle Manning, who took refuge in the settlement of Jewish religious militants at Kiryat Arba outside Hebron on the West Bank. After years of legal delays Israel consented to the extradition of Robert Manning to the U.S., where he is serving a life sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot in which a Manhattan Beach, CA secretary was killed by the explosion of a package bomb mailed to her employer. The Israelis claim Rochelle Manning died of a heart attack just before she, too, was to be extradited to California."
