Police Break up Protest at Convention Center

After the protestors stood up to leave, police on horseback surged forward to corner them. Other cops moved in on foot using electric shock devices on people. Several were arrested.
§Onlookers Squeezed between Police Lines

Horse mounted police pushed onlookers into a line of bicycle cops. The officer in the foreground has drawn a tazer shocking device.
§Nowhere to Go

The protestors had nowhere to move and where crunched between advancing horse mounted police and the bicycle cops. They were detained momentarily at the scene and then released. One woman received first aid at the scene for a cut on the leg as a result of police strong armed tactics.

Luke Anderson, an observer at the sit-down, is interviewed by the media where he expressed outrage that in a country that touts freedom, people are denied the right to protest. Luke is an author and critic of GMO’s.
