RACHEL CORRIE BILLBOARD PROJECT

Various activist groups are meeting to put on a benefit and otherwise raise money for a billboard to highlight Rachel Corrie's murder by an Israeli soldier with a Caterpillar bulldozer.

We will keep you posted as to when the benefit will be, but in the meantime, please send whatever you can contribute to the RACHEL CORRIE BILLBOARD PROJECT. You can send a check made out to: If Americans Knew, and send it to Wendy Campbell, PO Box 10458, Oakland, CA.

The idea is to have it be similar to the drunk driving billboards, with a picture of Rachel Corrie and the copy will say something along the lines of : Rachel Corrie, 23 years old, American peace Activist, Killed by Israeli Soldier, Paid for by US Tax Dollars.

The details about where the billboard will be and how long it (or they) will be up and exactly how much it will cost still have yet to be determined, however, as you know it's expensive. We know of one that is "only" $4000 though, which is a likely candidate.
