Daniel Bernard, the French Ambassador to the United Kingdom has been reassigned to Algeria, the International Herald Tribune reported.
Bernard, who achieved notoriety when he described Israel as 'that shitty little country' which threatens world peace, was recalled from his position in the UK last month.
Bernard sparked a diplomatic stir at a luncheon he attended at the London home of Lord Black of Crossharbor, chairman of Hollinger Inc., which owns The Jerusalem Post, and his wife, columnist Barbara Amiel.
In her column, which lamented that anti-Semitism has become respectable at smart London dinner tables, Amiel said the ambassador of a major European Union country 'politely told a gathering at my home that the current troubles in the world were all because of 'that shitty little country Israel.''
'Why,' she quoted him as saying, 'should the world be in danger of World War III because of those people?'
While Amiel did not explicitly name Bernard as the offending ambassador, he did not deny that he had uttered the sentiments.

you can't be an anti-semite for critizing a government or a crappy little fascist dictatorship. Sorry but any place with bombs and guns and the army in the
streets is shitty. It's certainly little. And why the hell should we all be in danger of WW3 for some pathetic little medieval religious state halfway around the world??!! Now I don't believe in expelling anyone from the soil they were born on. But if you can't respect your fellow citizens, no matter their ethnicity, if you can't treat them with dignity and respect and even stand up for them, why on earth do you deserve the treatment you deny your own countrymen, from foreigners??
