Israeli "Seals" come onshore and kill 4.. Sharon saying it is just the beginning for the people here in Gaza.. Barbara: I met Dr. ^^^ of Hamas.. a leader of Hamas.. I asked him, a lot of Palestinians are afraid that an Islamic state will emerge.. similar to the situation Israel with the religious vs the secular.. I asked him what he thought about the 20,000 people marching in Tel Aviv.. he said very good, but very late.. Barbara: people are terrified here.. the attack blew up.. guys with rifles.. ragtag.. pathetic.. Barbara: THIS HAPPENS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, HOUSE DEMOLITIONS ARE PUT ON HOLD.. A FEW MONTHS LATER HOUSE DEMOLITIONS ARE ON AGAIN.. Nor: no.. it took my friend 2 days to reach Gaza City from Rafah, a forty minute trip.. as his cab passed a settlement, soldier started shooting at it.. just practicing.. Dennis: report from Israel a plan for massive relocation of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.. Nor: the idea.. from minds like Ariel Sharon.. always the proponents of transfer.. against the 4th Geneva Convention.. Barbara: here the middle of the night, at my friend's home in Gaza, bombs falling left and right.. a lot of smoke and flames.. here the kids sitting up screaming.. today I was visiting a children's library.. when I came out.. helicopters came in.. shot a missile into a house five doors down.. killing two men.. horribly injuring nine children.. I ran to the house.. one man's head was split open.. a densely populated place.. a little girl had just come into the house.. she was horribly wounded in her head.. I followed the ambulance in another car to the hospital.. <IMG SRC="http://www.flashpoints.net/images/barbara.jpg" BORDER=0 HEIGHT=90 align=right WIDTH=80 ALT="Barbara Lubin"> these are innocent civilians, kids.. Barbara: just as I deplore it when Jewish kids are killed inside Israel, I deplore this as well.. last night staying with Amani and Nassar and their kids on the 17th floor of an apartment building.. a helicopter gunship right outside the window.. Dennis: I listened to Reuters, the official story: 2 Palestinian militants killed, 2 wounded, nothing about the other nine or so children wounded.. Barbara: shocking to me, that these 'executions' can be carried out.. it is so dense that there are bound to be innocent casualties.. there were 50 kids in that library.. English classes, volunteers from England teaching.. when they heard the attack they all started screaming and running.. Dennis: at least 22 people have been killed, including 10 Israelis.. Barbara: people are enraged.. OH! There are a lot of bombs going off now.. a lot of soldiers in the street.. people are defenceless here.. Kalashnikov rifles against tanks and F16s and Apache helicopters.. 3 more explosions now.. and smoke.. the children are totally silent.. sitting in bed with the covers over their heads.. Dennis: your mission to create spaces for children there, will you continue? Barbara: We set up a library in a refugee camp.. created jobs.. Dennis: now the Endless War.. Frank: the ability to reach a mass audience.. easy to read.. can read in an hour.. and people really do.. my goal: getting this information out to as many people as possible.. the truth: we are not really fighting for freedom and democracy.. Joel: I wrote this book during the Gulf War.. the media bound up with the whole system that promotes war.. the book starts with all the history of the US foreign wars.. the more this kind of war is waged, the more there will be terrorist attacks.. Dennis: your hotmail account closed.. Frank: I just got a message, your email account was closed.. 'distributing objectional material'.. seems to me someone doesn't want me distributing this kind of material.. Dennis: what is on the video tape?.. Frank: it's called What I've Learned About US Foreign Policy.. The basic message being that the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), the military-industrial-complex, the Pentagon, the multinational corporations, the media and the Government of the United States are responsible for the deaths of millions of people in the third world, not to mention the poverty and oppression of millions more. We support, arm, and train dictators and militaries that do these evil actions to their own people. All of this is to insure that we control the natural resources of these countries and their market place, use the people for cheap labor and keep the business of war (which is our biggest business) ongoing. The video is a compilation of ten other documentaries.. starts with MLK Jr speaking out against the war in Vietnam.. John Stockwell.. Brian Willson.. the whole thing is two hours.. a segment about School of the Americas.. Susan Sarandon.. Genocide by Sanctions.. Ramsey Clark.. Amy Goodman talking about the invasion of East Timor.. a excerpt from the Panama Deception, narrated by Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Knight.. Joel: a lot of the comic book about Iraq.. everything the US does in the Middle East, has to do with war.. the US does a lot of nasty things in the Middle East..
