Stop Medical Apartheid!
Berkeley—-Standing in the gates of the Bayer factory, Marla Ruzicka of Global Exchange was joined by more than one hundred others on this international day of protest against 42 pharmaceutical corporations. The drug companies are suing the South African Government for patent infringement and are trying to prevent low-cost, generic drugs from being distributed to over four million South African people who cannot afford to pay full price for AIDS treatment.
